Jeff Miles

Jeff Miles (1954-2021) was married to Debbie Miles for 46 years, and together they had five sons and 15 grandchildren. Jeff was beloved by his family, and he was an admired leader, speaker and mentor in the financial services industry.

Jeff got his start in the business world at the age of 21, when he founded and ran his own construction company in Utah. In 1980, he decided to forge a new career path—his true calling—when he began working for Art Williams in the financial services industry, which required moving the family to California. Jeff worked his way up from knowing only two people in Fresno to becoming sales director over the entire United States and Canada, as well as establishing himself as one of the elite inner circle leaders of the A.L. Williams insurance agency. The firm grew so much that it was eventually sold to Citigroup and became Primerica.

Creating and growing businesses proved to be a major skillset for Jeff Miles. In 1991, along with the Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame’s Hubert Humphrey and others, Jeff helped start a broker-dealer firm called WMA (World Marketing Alliance), serving as executive vice chairman, which was the top field position in the company. He won numerous awards and accolades through the years. WMA grew so large that it was known to have events with thousands of agents in attendance, and their guests included many of the greats from business, sports, the military, and entertainment, including Stephen Covey, Tony Robbins, Muhammad Ali, General Norman Schwarzkopf, Joe Namath, Pat Riley, The Pointer Sisters, Huey Lewis and the News, and many others.

In 1998, WMA relocated Jeff and his family to Atlanta when he was picked to help oversee an international joint venture with financial services giant AEGON, doing business in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Taiwan and Canada. The firm continued to grow, and WMA eventually sold the bulk of its assets to its partner, AEGON. Jeff ran the Canadian operation for six months until that too was sold.

The future was even brighter. In 2002, Jeff and others launched the successful World Leadership Group (WLG), a nationwide organization selling mortgages, real estate and insurance. As senior executive field chairman, Jeff built a team of more than 20,000 agents nationwide. During that time, he also founded Financial Leadership Advisors, a registered investment advisory firm (RIA) handling active money management for middle America.

In addition to founding and growing extremely successful business ventures multiple times over, Jeff has been heavily involved in the “Leadership Format System,” which he helped run concurrently during the last 35 years of his career. Known as “The System Expert,” Jeff trained and freely shared his expertise about the entrepreneurial principles needed for success which he had proven six different times in his career.

A true visionary and leader, Jeff Miles inspired and helped literally thousands of other people during his life on earth. Tribute Wealth Management is proudly named in Jeff’s honor.
